A new video review for one of the most awaited
Transformers 3 toys has hit youtube. Optibotimus has reviewed MechTech Deluxe Air Raid. Deluxe Air Raid is a spy plane. He was quiet impressed with the figure. The toy supports a brand new mold. It is a Deluxe figure so it’s not as big as a Voyager or Leader class figure. On its own merits, it is great. The green paint looks spectacular. The landing gear can folded in.
Overall, he was impressed that in vehicle mode you really couldn’t see much of the robot. It is really well hidden. There are portions where you can see part of the robot but even then these can be detached. The MechTech Weapon is a radar dish. He didn’t like the hand dangling on the back. Through a little ingenuity you can hide the little hand elsewhere on the plane. Optibotimus received a broken version of the toy.
The wings aren’t supposed to be detachable. He joked around saying his had a third mode. So you have the robot mode, the vehicle mode, and the space missile mode. You could even simulate an airplane crashing. The vehicle mode looks very nice. We have never had a figure like this before. Hopefully, some time down the road we will get a bigger version of this figure. A Voyager or Leader class figure would be awesome.
The transformation isn’t that difficult. You just have to follow a series of steps and you will be able to transform the toy in no time. It is tough if yours is broken because the wings keep falling off. This should not be a problem with the retail version. The retail version is expected to be released by the end of the year.
